47% or 14.6 million ha. of Poland is agricultural area
Out of estimated 1.400.700 Polish households, 73% are farms with a production on 1-10 ha.
Natural fertilization is widely used. Annually over 55 million tons of manure and more than 25 million tons of slurry are used.
The value of annual agricultural production is estimated at PLN 85 billion.
Poland produces annually:
- 13.305 million liters of milk
- More than 10.694 million eggs
- 15.7 million tons of sugar beets (making Poland is the 3rd biggest producer of sugar beets in Europe)
- Half of the concentrated European produced fruit juice is from Poland.
- Poland furthermore excels in the production of apples, strawberries, raspberries, currants, onions, cabbage, cauliflower and potatoes.
