In Austria, your employer can reduce your wage, if you are proved board and lodge.
An employer is not obliged to provide accommodation to employees. If accommodation is included, it should be included in your employment contract.
Full board includes:
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks and drinks
- The accommodation should be a proper room with windows, heating, lighting, washing facility and lockable cupboard.
Deduction from your wage
If you are provided full board and lodge from your employer, it can deduct a maximum of 196,20 € from your monthly salary.
