In Poland, the number of holidays in Poland is governed by the Labour Code and depends on the length of your employment. Your terms and conditions for holidays should be written in your contract.
You will earn approximately 2 days of paid holiday for each month of your employment.
If you work for the whole year, you have the right to 20 days of holidays.
As a seasonal worker in agriculture, you save up the same number of holidays as all other workers in Poland.
Holidays on demand
If sudden cases occur, you have the right to take a “holiday on demand”. A holiday on demand can be up to 4 days of your holidays a year. You must inform your employer when you take your holiday on demand at the latest on the day of the holiday.
Holiday payment
When you are on holiday, you will receive the same amount of payment as during standard working time.
Remember to have a clear agreement with your employer on the periods and dates of your paid holidays.
If you do not take the holiday leave, you will get the holiday payment after you have finished your employment.
